All occupant fatalities declined except for motorcycle occupants which has been increasing for the past 11 years.

There were
11,773 alcohol impaired driving fatalities (.08 bac or above)...This is a 9.7% decline from 2007.
Among fatally injured passenger vehicle occupants, more than half (55%) of those killed were unrestrained.
Almost 2/3 (64%) of those occupants killed during the night were unrestrained, compared to 45% during the day.
The states with the lowest percentage of alcohol impaired driving fatalities are Utah at 17% and Vermont with
16% The states with the highest percentage are South Carolina with 44% and North Dakota with 46%
